The Homeless crisis in America has grown into an everyday conversation at the national level. Shelters throughout the U.S. have been reporting increases in the number of people needing help.

This crisis has been decades in the making but the Pandemic has sent it over the edge, inflation and the rising cost of living are making it impossible for over 70 million low-income renters to be able to afford to put a roof over their heads. Many in the last few years have ended up homeless.

California is leading with the number of unhoused individuals with New York a close second, the shortage of shelter beds has been causing issues with State and Local government. California needs more beds, more homes, and a lower cost of living.

Rise Up Residential, a local San Diego Non-Profit wants to be part of the solution to this crisis, creating sustainable low & no-cost housing for those most vulnerable in our society.

Rise Up Residential’s goal is to create the first fully sustainable micro-unit housing community for those experiencing homelessness in San Diego County.
